Do you want to make 6 figures or more? If you do the following three things, you will be as successful as you wish! First, I must tell you a story. There was a young man who wanted to make a lot of money so he went to see a success guru and said I want to be as rich and successful as you are! …. So the young man meets the Guru at the beach the next morning at 4am, all dressed in his suit and ready to go! The Guru asked the man, “How badly do you want to be successful?” When the man told him really badly, the Guru told him to walk out in the water. The man walked out into the water waist-deep thinking, “I want to make money, not learn how to swim!” The Guru told him to walk out a little farther. So he did until the water was around his neck, still thinking the Guru was crazy. The Guru asked him again if he wanted to be successful. He answered, “Yes! I want to be successful!” The Guru told him to walk out a little farther; so he did and the water was over his chin. The Guru then grabbed the man’s head and held him under water. The young man started flailing his arms around and splashing wildly trying to get the Guru to let up on his head being held under water. The Guru did not let up until the man almost passed out and then he lifted the man’s head up ans asked him a question. “When you were under water, what did you want to do?” The man told him that all he wanted to do was to breathe. The Guru told him, “When you want to succeed as badly as you want to breathe, then you will be successful!
The three steps to success:
- If you want to be successful, you have got to want it above all other desires!
- The important thing is at any moment to be able to sacrifice what you are for what you can become.
- Pain is temporary; it may last for a minute or an hour or a day, even a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it will last forever.
